FREE Supplies from Staples

Looking for cheap office/school supplies?? Then you are in luck because right around this time of year Office Depot, Office Max, Staples & Wal-Mart almost gives them away. Last year I didn't have a child in need of some of the supplies that I got for FREE or under a nickle so I donated them to to an area school for children who's parents couldn't afford the supplies. If you have the time to do this they will appreciate it so much. This is also when I stock up on my 3-ring notebooks that I have told you about here.

This upcoming week (07/12) you can get pens for FREE, pencils & copy paper for 1¢, & white-out for 25¢ at Staples! Leah at Metroplex Savers has worked up all the details for you here! There is also a $5/$20 coupon in the ad that can be used in conjunction with these deals to score some cheap baseball card holders & I know how us couponers love us some baseball card holders on the cheap! Check the ad out here.

My little one is starting school this year so I have been on the look-out for deals on office/school supplies, stay tuned!

Thanks, Leah!

** Don't forget to bring your own bags & remind the cashier to give you 5¢ back on each bag you bring in & use. This doesn't have to be the reusable bags it can be plastic bags from any store. I roll my used plastic bags then store them in empty tissue cubes. I keep a cube full of bags in my car so that if I forget my reusable bags I at least have these plus they are always handy when you have kids. When your plastic bags get holes don't forget to recycle them at Albies! **

I am proud to have my Central Market post on BeCentsAble's Grocery Gathering!

Fiesta 07/08 - 07/14/09

My Fiesta does not double/triple coupons and will not take Internet coupons. They do however have their own coupon book (at times) that you can get at the front of the store or at the customer service desk. They have no loyalty card so the deals you see below are good for all. Click here to locate your closest Fiesta.

I try to make as few grocery trips as possible so I take part in Wal-Mart's price matching policy when I can. The number one ad that I price match is Fiesta, they are out of my way and since they don't take IP's (Internet printables) and Wal-Mart does I can normally get better deals. Even though Fiesta doesn't take IP's I will list any match-ups that I find in case you want to price match at Wal-Mart like I do. Keep in mind Wal-Mart will not price match BOGO sales or store brand prices.

Here are the best deals that I see for this week:

* Produce Department *

~ Nectarines - $0.79/lb

~ Del Monte Gold Pineapple - $2.49
Use <$0.50> here = $1.99
(Price Match at Wal-Mart, Fiesta won’t take IP)

~ Peaches - $0.70/lb

~ White Potatoes - $0.69/lb

That's all I have on my shoppin' list for the week but if you are looking for more Fiesta deals head over to Mommy's Wish List and see what Lea Ann has cooked up for ya. Thanks, Lea Ann!

CVS Coupons Giveaway - REMINDER

You only have 24 hours left to enter my CVS Coupon Giveaway here. Don't let this one pass you by because you know that you will kick yourself for it later!

Coupons from SC Johnson

Click here or above pic to join Right@Home where you will become a member and receive the FREE e-newsletter filled with money-saving offers, tips, recipes & more.

I am a member of Right@Home and this is a newsletter that you want to get. Back in March they emailed me a link to a $4 Glade Collection coupon that I immediately printed. I was sure glad that I did because just a few weeks later, in April, Target had this fabulous Glade Collection candle sale and with that $4 coupon I was able to turn that sale into a money-maker! By the time that the sale had begun the coupon was no longer available to print, so if I wouldn't have been a member of Right@Home I would have missed out. They send me the newsletter once or twice a month with all sorts of tips and almost always with a super-duper coupon from the SC Johnson Family. Don't delay - sign up today!!

My Yummy Sunday!

Last Sunday (the 29th) I was able to attend the D/FW Blogger Meet up at The Melting Pot in Southlake, Texas. I was treated to yum-o food, spectacular wine and great conversation with my fabulous new blogger buddies. I had been to a fondue restaurant before, so I knew what to expect, but The Melting Pot knocked my socks off! The restaurant itself has the neatest design, and we were in one of the private party rooms which was P-E-R-F-E-C-T for our little get-together.

The staff!!! Oh wow, the staff! They were so accommodating in every possible way. Sara, our server, could not have been more helpful. She was just lovely. Top notch, people!

We chose the 4-course meal option, Big Night Out, with cheese fondue, salad, entree and chocolate fondue each in the flavor and variety of our choosing. Now, of course, the chocolate was my favorite but it wasn't a runaway title, the cheese and entree came in a close second and third. They are all so good I am getting hungry just thinking about it - really! Here is a pic, courtesy of Donna @ Way More Homemade, of the dessert tray! Jealous, much??I know that was mean of me, huh? Sorry!

In case you are looking for a fun Girls' Night Out or special occasion dinner, let me recommend The Melting Pot. Yes, it is pricey, but there are options to make this restaurant a more frugal choice:
The Entertainment Book here has coupons for 20% off dinner for 2 or BOGO
Become a fan of The Melting Pot on Facebook here & get a FREE Chocolate Fondue coupon
Sign up for the Club Fondue newsletter here & get a FREE Chocolate Fondue coupon

Have you ever been to The Melting Pot, or are you planning a trip there now? I would love to hear what you think.
