  1. I have 2 $1.00 Bounty coupons that would make paper towels free at Kroger this week. One is from a pampers home mailer I believe. It came a while ago and had pampers coupons as well as Cheerios and Bounty paper towels. I just got a mailer from Save a Lot the other day and it had a $1.00 man. coupon. Check your coupons. You may be able to score free paper towels! :) We never buy them at my house but I might just have to pick some up this week.

  2. I have to say that, although I absolutely love your blog, I do not agree with how you actively promote taking peelies off of products that you are not purchasing to use later on. I get so frustrated when I am purchasing an item and can clearly see that there should be a peelie that I could use and it has been stolen. (this has happened numerous times to me at Albertson's) Anyway, that's just my 2-cents.

First thing I don't see anything wrong with taking a peelie from an item and using it in the store for another item that the peelie is for. The peelies are not put on by the manufacturer or store, an independent person goes from store to store just randomly sticking them on the items that the coupon can be used for. In regards to the Comfort peelies, months ago the peelie lady was at my Kroger and put them on all Comfort brand items but only the ones in the front spot on the shelf. She was in a hurry so she didn't have time to place them on all the items but she did give me a few! Yea! So the wipes did have them at one point. Since I still had some I knew what the expiration date was and that it was still valid. I saw them in store on the bath products week before last and readers told me the same thing. If you don't agree with it then that's your right but I see nothing wrong with it.
Second, Who says I steal them? I sure didn't. I say where I see them that's it. Then it is up to the reader to do what they want to do. I have purchased items before with peelies but I have a better coupon with me so I use that. The peelie is on the item so I take it home with me and file it for use later. I found it very helpful when blogs would alert me that the peelie lady had been spotted putting coupons on certain items. That way when I was in the store I knew to check all the way to the back of the shelf and see if the lady had left some love at my store. If you don't want to "steal" them then don't but it doesn't hurt the store or manufacturer in case you thought that it did. Also when you see that there was a peelie and now there isn't one, it's not always "stolen". As part of the peelie lady's job, they have to remove expired peelies and replace with new ones that is if they have them. If not then they are just to remove them. I have been a couponer for over 5 years and made very good relationships with my stores and even some stores vendors, that is how I know all this in case you are wondering. Anyway, that just my 2¢!

  4. April, I'm sorry someone is stealing your peelies. But if you read Hollie's post carefully, nowhere does she "actively promote" stealing peelies off products.

  5. It's just frustrating, as a consumer, to know that a certain item will have peelies on it to be used at the time of purchase, only to get to the store and they have all been swiped. I'm with April on this one.

  6. I've read this twice and I'm not sure exactly what you do, but I thought that ethically, you should only get the peelie if you actually bought the product. Please clarify.

  7. I went to the Kroger in Crowley today. There were two great deals. Bounty single paper towels were 50 cents. If you still have the 25 cent coupons, you can get free paper towels. Also, hormel deli slice pepperoni is $1. With the 35 cents Hormel Pepperoni coupons (6/21SS), you get it free.
