I like being a Nielsen panel member, but I HATE my scanner! It's ancient & they won't exchange it. I am supposed to transmit every week & the way I have to transmit is to hold the scanner up to a phone. It does all the beeping & stuff (like a fax machine) & then it's done. It doesn't work well w/ cordless phones. We only have 1 phone in the house it will work with. They have new scanners that either transmit on their own or you can connect to your PC. MAKE SURE YOU GET ONE OF THOSE!
ReplyDeleteI used to be a Nielsen panel member. At first I liked it, but honestly I started getting a bit neurotic about it. When I would get home from grocery shopping, I found it stressfull to scan everything, remember which items were sale items and for how much and which items had coupons for which amounts all while trying to stop my helpers from putting away anything I hadn't scanned yet and getting the ice cream in the freezer before it melted. Then there were store that I was discouraged from shopping at because I would have to enter the price of each item I scanned, in addition to sale and coupon amounts. It was just overwhelming for me. If you keep better records than me you may have better luck with it. Oh, and I had an easy time with transmitting by USB cord.
