** Don't forget to bring your own bags & remind the cashier to give you 5¢ back on each bag you bring in & use. This doesn't have to be the reusable bags it can be plastic bags from any store. I roll my used plastic bags then store them in empty tissue cubes. I keep a cube full of bags in my car so that if I forget my reusable bags I at least have these plus they are always handy when you have kids. When your plastic bags get holes don't forget to recycle them at Albies! **

  1. I was wondering what you thought about this idea.

I was told by a cashier yesterday and then today, I confirmed it with a phone call to management at the same store that Albertson’s has a new corporate policy (via email to the stores) that they will no longer be accepting internet coupons. I sent a friendly email to albertsonscustomercare@albertsons.com and wondered if you thought it a good idea to ask your readers to do the same. Maybe if enough of us email them, they will change their policy back. Let me know what you think. Thanks.

  2. Hi, Cavender Family! I would say for sure it's a good idea but here in Fort Worth there has been nothing said like that to me so it might just be your store. I plan on going to Albies on Friday so I will let you know but if it's the case at my store as well I will argue that they can't say no IP's and then provide IP's on their site. Stay tuned!
Readers - If you experience trouble with your IP's PLEASE let corporate know!

  3. Thank you, Hollie. I'm in a continuous email conversation with customer service. The current status is after receiving an email with the coupon policy (which I requested) and a return email by me stating that my IPs met their policy criteria, my email has been forwarded "to the local division Marketing department for review" and I should receive a response withing 48 hours according to the email. I'll keep you posted also. Thanks again!

  4. They have a huge link on their website to the Kraft internet printables!

  5. Hi Holly -

I just received an email from the Store Manager of my local Albertsons. I guess the marketing Division contacted him. He apologized for the misinformation. So, it looks like Albertsons is still accepting IPs. I'm sorry if I caused alarm too early. I just wanted to get the support of all couponers if, in fact, Albertsons was making a coupon policy change to our detriment. Thanks for you blog!

  6. I was not allowed to stack the Albertson's Hefty coupon with a manufacturer coupon. Customer service told me that the policy had recently changed. I called the corporate customer service number and that guy verfied the information... stating that the new wording "can not be combined with another offer" means that they will not allow stacking.

  7. Hi, Savvy Coupon Shopper! Sorry that happened to you. I used mine yesterday at self-checkout with no beeps or anything. I don't know where you live but here in Fort Worth the Hefty "stacking" coupon match up was on the local news (NBC 5), I truly believe that you talked to 2 misinformed people.

  8. Oh I know this is old but its true that Albertsons is no longer taking the internet coupons. You are also not allowed to stack anymore due to the wording on the coupon. Like you, I found self check to let you stack with no problem but if a cashier that is up on their stuff catches you, they will remove the coupon. It such a headache. Looks like I will be hitting deals only minus any in ad coupons.

  9. Hi TRochelle! Actually it's not true. They cannot advertise printable coupons on their site and then refuse them in the store. Call corporate if your store does this and they will then call the store and straighten them out. They can deny a IP if it looks fake but they can't just say we don't accept them ALL. You can also stack a Albies coupon and a MFGC, they can't deny a MFGC. They get reimbursed from the MF. If the in-ad coupon says MFGC on the top then no you can't stack but if it doesn't then you can. I have been on the phone with Albies about both issues in the last weeks and the stores that are saying this are just misinformed, call corporate and have them call the store then you will see results. HTH!
